I know no race,I know no God

This is for all those innocents who are killed in the name of race, religion, ethnicity, country !!!!and what not....but the picture of young Alyan Kurdi is a heart wrenching one.And Mr.Peter, he died not because of greed but bcoz we as a humanity are dead!!!!

I am Alyan Kurdi and I'm from Syria
I was born 3 years ago and loved my life
but my country was not safe , so we wanted
to move to a safe place, which is a crime!!!
I knew no race, I knew no God, but,
I am dead because each one of you has one!!!

We moved to Turkey which was also
not so safe and  wanted to go to
Canada or Greece but the irony is
Turkey neither owned nor disowned us!!!
I knew no race, I knew no God, but,
I am dead because the world just watched !!!

My Aunt wanted us to move to Canada
but Turkey wouldn't permit us and so
we set sail in the middle of the night
which was my bon voyage!!!
I knew no race, i knew no God, but,
I am dead because UN is so long dead !!!!

I died and so did my brother and Mom
and one photo took the world by storm
but when I was alive and wanted help
no one looked but now so many sympathisers!!!
I knew no race, I knew no God
I am dead because sympathy is a long lost cause!!!!

Now the world is on fire and the
authorities are under scanner but
what's the use, for in a month or two
it will be just another issue!!!
I knew no race, I knew no God
I am dead because none acted when it meant !!!!

No EU, no UN, no Human Rights Group
fought for or stood for us, but people
like Peter Bucklitsch were quick enough to analyse
No Australia, no UK , no Canada,
no Ireland, no Turkey nor any country
would own us or empathise us for
we are no asset but just a liability!!!!

I knew no race, I knew no God, but,
I am dead because we matter no more !!!!

This is dedicated to all those refugees round the world who live in the most pitiable situations...May we all wake up soon and breathe some life into humanity once again!!!

These 12 Malayalam Films made me fall in love with cinema all over again

As much a movie buff as I am...I have watched English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali,Korean and even Iranian films.I love Korean films for they make the best teen drama and Love stories,English movies for the sheer plot that is so enticing,Tamil for its naturality and sometimes it is too much for me to take it!!!Bengali films are more like art movies(the few that I saw )and are definetly not my type,Kannada movies are ok for me and am not a big fan except for this wonderful film "Luciya", Hindi movies are the same as Telugu which are more of a feel good and have a nice laugh types.....well from the zillions of films I saw...the movies that I love the most turned out to be Malayalam films!!!Yeah I am quite shocked at this taste of mine but I have listed a few of them...which have made me love Mollywood and am sure after watching them you guys wouldn't agree more.So what's the delay..check out these wonderful Mallu favourites of mine.

Artist

Again another Fahad Fazil movie, yeah this guy is just awesome. This movie is the journey of an aspiring artist who loves his job and how he copes up after becoming blind and ends up producing some great works is the main plot.Bit of a slow film, must warn you but movie buffs wouldn't mind watching it for the superb performances.

Neram

An action-comedy-suspence-thriller this movie is like an all in one movie.Starring Nivin Pauly, Nazriya Nazim and the awesome baddie Bobby Simha this movie will leave you in splits and also keeps us involved with the twists that it provides. It is a wonderful movie and a must watch.

22 Female Kottayam

Starring Fahad Fazil,Rima Kallingal this moive is about a con man and his accomplice who tactically trap young women and what they do until a female nurse decides to take revenge on them and what happens in the process forms the plot.It is a very good movie with excellent performances and an engaging plot.

Ohm Shanti Oshaana

Starring Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim this is the story of a tom boy (Nazriya) who falls in love with a tough guy like Nivin. This movie is a cute love story very well told. How the girl loves the boy over the years and what happens in the process is the main plot of the film.Watch it for a beautigul cup of refreshing coffee feel that one loves.A feel good movie.

Vikramadithyan

With Dulquer Salmaan, Unni Mukundan, Namita Pramod as the leas stars, this movie is the journey of Dulqueer Salmaan as to how he copes up being the son of  athief, he loves his father and after his death he is devastated and what and how he achieves what he wnats in life forms the main plot of the story.Always being pointed out that he is he son of a thief, he decides to appear for SI selections and what happens next is what the movie is all about. It is an inspirational kind of movie without any lectures but just showing how it is done!!Watch it for a different fell, the movie won't disappoint you.

Mumbai Police

The movie starring Prithviraj,Jayasurya and Rahman is the story of three police friends and is asuspence-thriller.One of the friends dies and Prithviraj is given the responsibility of investigating into it only to be in an accident and forget the past!!So what happens next and does he solve the mystery or not is the main plot of he film. It's a wonderful movie with a beautiful narration, you won't be disappointed.

Drishyam

The mother of all the remakes. This original movie is the best.I loved the performances of Mohanlal,Meena and Nadiya who have made it a beautiful must watch movie.Compare it with the other versions and see for yourself.

These are some Mollywood movies that I love and am sure they vl make u love Mollywood too.Hope u guys will try watching a few and do tell me how u like them in the comments section below :).

No,IT IS NOT CORRECT!!!!!WHAT SHOULD BE DONE????

On an average every newspaper in India be it a leading english daily or a local newspaper contain atleast 5 news regarding atrocities against women be it rape, molestation, murder or any sort of heinous crime.Opening the paper today, the death of a teenage girl in Punjab trying to escape from her molesters made me wonder....is it the age to die.You molest, you beat, you rip,you strip and even the Rajya Sabha members go on record saying non consensual sex after marriage should not be considered a crime!!!!!! and add another thousand exclamations to it.We claim to be the proud givers of the widest interpretation of the Article 21-the right to life, yet forget these basic things which also make up for life. When will the objectification and commodifiation of women stop.A women is not there to fulfill the misogynists wishes or are they just show pieces.Women need respect from the heart not just lip say and they need dignity and pride, when will parents stop teaching the young boys that they are superior and that the girls are their toys which is reflecting in today's society. The hypocrisy should stop....if everyone practices what he preaches then the society may change....else these atrocities will just continue....with some prominent leaders saying "BOYS WILL BE BOYS"or a rapist giving an interview telling how women should be and all but not how a man should be....may be it is time you stop telling us how we should be and rather focus on how your boys should not be!!!It is high time every day yet no change ever comes!!!!!!!!!BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT ....YOU WANT YOUR WIFE,SISTER AND DAUGHTER TO BE SAFE BUT YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH OTHER WOMEN!!!!Please!!!!

Shabash Saina!!!Way to go

Won several events in a row and even reached the top 10 and suddenly there was a lull with over an year of title drought and yet this person was in news only for her sport but not for her parties or controversies or ads or her style!!One thing that has made me respect this star is her calm and poise which many stars lack. You don't see her exuberant or depressed but what she presents is a calm, composed self. She is never blinded by her victories nor is let down by her failures. She is always focussed on bettering her game and performing better in every other tournament.

When her junior P.V.Sindhu was in the news but she had a very dull year, all she did was train hard. When her former coach Mr.Pullela Gopi Chand said that P.V.Sindhu has to learn and achieve a lot before she can be where Saina is now...I thought what is he talking(at that time P.V.Sindhu had won a medal in the World Champonships and also the Malaysia Open,Macau Open and it was the dark period in Saina's career)but now I understand, yes that man is absolutely right.

This lady made the country proud, when the whole of India is busy crying over the semifinal loss of our cricket team, this person is quitely achieving one milestone after another. Not to forget the All England Badminton tournament too.She comes, practices and has also wins silently. The only time she was in the news for other reasons was when she expressed her agony over not even being nominated for the Padma Awards(I support her on this,if not her, then who is eligible?).

Right now she is the World No:1 in a sport that has been ruled by the Chinese, Denmark,Malaysian and Japanese. An Olympic medal,Commonwealth Games Gold and many Super Series wins and an almost All England Badminton in her kitty, this highly talented yet humble star has a lot to offer. She is an epitome of dedication and simplicity all embeded into one.She has a lot to offer and a lot to achieve and I wish and pray that she stays grounded just to reach the pinnacles in the Badminton world and make a billion puls Indians proud :).Way to go girl

Woh Din-the memoirs of the childhood of our generation

                                           https://www.facebook.com/EmotionalFulls

This 3 minute video gave me a blast from the past, brushed all those sweet cherishable moments of my childhood....I immediately felt like writing something about it and yep here it is...

Yaad hain woh din jab ham summer holidays ke pehle din hi apne naani ke gaar jathe the(remember those days when we used to pack our bags on the first day of our summer holidays to land at our granny's place)...Oh those are the golden days..gone are those days but what we are left with is only the memories to cherish.

Where to start I am filled with thousands of memories...each worth mentioning but then this post would be unending.

1 Rupee...yep 1 rupee that has very litte value now  was our daily allowance which was 10 rupess in our X class  ;) which would fetch us a handful of mango pieces and two chocolates :) !! Ha how can one forget the beautiful ice packed in a myriad of colours outside our school  or the small shops which would sell a variety of chocolates our favourite chips...all within our budget. After our school we kids would wait for our homework to get completed and out mom's permission to go play and would jump off with glee into the streets only to return to the call of our mom or because we could no longer play....instead of an Ipad with those games and addicting stuff....Those were the days when Tom and Jerry,Scooby Doo,Popeye and Dennis were our favourites

Our birthday parties were not in Pizza Huts or Mc Donald's but in our homes with a cake(mind you not a pastry!!),cool drinks, snacks and Dairy Milk!!!The days when we used to sit glued to the Tv sets until Sachin is at the crease only to turn it off when he was out...days when we could communicate only with letters and eagerly wait for their reply and days when TRUNK CALL did exist!!!

Those were the days when Harry Potter was our fantasy and Howgarts somehing we all wished to come true :))...Those were the days when we could still enjoy our school without the combined IIT,AIEEE and whatever foundation courses right from class V.....days when we all friends would sit and chat instad of being busy with our cell phones messaging to someone far off without paying heed to someone beside you!!!

It's the generation of facebook, whatsapp, hike, twitter, instagram and what not...infact a tech filled world with little or no space for what we guys enjoyed as kids....Those were the days which will make us turn back and say Yaad hain Woh din :))

Make in India

Looking down the history once can say with pride that India is a great trading partner,a pricy catch and above all an abode of magnificient "indigenous" art.Yes,India had trade relations as far as Mesopotamia and further East just because of the excellent craftsmen work and the uniqueness of the artifacts.Well that's all past and now what are we left with!!!MADE IN CHINA...

I used to wonder as a kid will anything ever be made in India....when will people get to know that there is also MADE IN INDIA.From our stuffed toys to kitchen items to office stationery everything or something had this mark of China on it.I used to pose this question to myself and my friends around..seriously we import even these stuff from China but I wondered why no one was thinking of MAKE IN INDIA.

But finally when the Prime Minister Mr.Modi announced the concept of Make in India....I thought wow this is what we want. What an idea Sirji.. :)

The beauty of it is not just the announcement but the way it reached the big corporate houses which have promised to start making their contribution.Wonderful, this would definitely have an impact on our import bill and also would enhance the purchasing power thus enlarging the Economy

Well there are a plethora of problems awaiting to be solved to get this wonderful plan into action

1.To set up manufacturing units we need industries which need electricity and for a power deficient country like us it would be a tough yet resolvable challenge...with the produced power being consumed by the cities and the established industries the horror of 12-18 hours of power cuts is a reality even in states like Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh during peak summers with the villages being the worst sufferers.

2.True that making India a manufacturing hub would bring more people out of the BPL category...so implications.....better stadard of living which means a comfortable living which means electronic gadgets which means more power requirement.

3.How would the land acquisition take place...would it be new land or would industries be placed in the SEZs or would there be a new unit in the existing industries which would substantially reduce the burden on the government and the land. With less that 1.6 hectares per capita availability of land...land acquisition would be a tough task.

4.How is the government going to address the environmental concerns arising out of the industries. With India having the worst air pollution among all the countries and 6 /25 most polluted countries located in India and the country with the highest number of deaths due to Air pollution, ground water being polluted with poisonous elements like arsenic, uranium, flouride et al...the government wouldn't want to add to the woes of the ever increasing medical bills.

5.Next comes the most difficult problem....the menace of urban slums...with thousands of rural migrants in search or work to urban areas...and hardly any chance to further accomodate them...the cities are growing vertictally with many of our cities having the worst floor space index...this is a challenge to look out for.

Well these are some of the myriad of problems that lie ahead of starting the great idea of Make in India but I have a feeling deep inside that the Miracle man Mr.Modi who has got wonderful ideas up his sleeve will find best possible answers to the above problems as well.Well who thought that the PM of the country would call for cleanliness drive and also impliment it and just with this announcement that MNCs would come forward as part of their CSR and pledge thousands of crores towards this initiative...all I can say is wow I can envision a better India for sure. :))

It's all in you

When was the last time u let anyone decide anything for u....right from the toothpaste to our branded watches, clothes to our bike to the pen that v use everything v use is our decision(even the position of ur bed, table and even the wall clock is how v lyk it ryt)...v don't depend on anyone nor like someone influencing us...So is the same with our food...what v eat and what v choose entirely depends on us...Then y do v blame our lifestyle, pressure, frns et al for influencing us to overeat or eating the wrong food.

The reason behind this article is that from a whooping 90+ kgs I am down to 70...all this is bcoz I wanted to and not bocz of anything else.I am much healthy, confident and am living 100% of my life than I used to before.

It's not that I at so much that I bloated but in fact during the 2 years of my +1 and +2 I gaind a whooping 18 kgs :-(...Sigh i was shocked and knew I had to work lyk hell to come down to my original self.Well v all know how those two tortuous years are in our lyf...but I also observed that not every1 around have the same body typology as mine....so I knew I had to work  a bit more and I was ready for it...So began my association with the gyms, aerobics, outdoor gaming and all and whatever I finally am a new self. All this did need a lot of sacrifices.

1.While my frns were enjoying their pizza or my fav chocolate cake on my b'day I jus used to stick with the low calorie stuff(Even on b'day!!!...yeah ofcourse ...My body knows no b'day or ordinary day...what all it matters is what I eat)

2.While people were enjoying going to movies I had to at times drop the idea bcoz it collided with my gym routine.

3.I had to stick to pulka and oil less, tasteless food and sometimes as it happens I binged a lot...bringing me back to d starting point making me do it all over again...Infact it took me 2 years to learn to maintain my weight(yeah I understand that's a lot of tym n so didn't want any1 else to go thru this n so this article)

Well this is what happens with any1...so stop feeling sorry for urself n start working towards ur dream of a slim n healthy self....After reducing 10-15 kgs I gained it all back twice in my journey with my flab and so I had to endure it and now I have learnt it the hard way ;)...so am careful about it...

So let's start with what u need to do

1.Move ur lazy self from the couch:
Many studies have proved that physical activity activates ur brain as it gets enough oxygen and so u remain active all ur day..Think u r a software professional or an office going person and so how to cope up wid d schedule..It's simple...it's not jus Gymming u can in fact dance for 40-50 mins,go for a jog, play a game of shuttle or basketball,do poer yoga, clean ur house by urself...all this is physical activity buddy...Start doing it n u vl hate urself for missing it even for a day...I bet u vl enjoy ur new energized self....

And to all those who don't exercise bcoz they r thin n all...plz for us d flabby people exercise is about weight loss n dn v should continue it for a healthy us...but for u thin guys out thr...ur body needs some exercise too to b fit, strong n above all heathy for u jus don't c only weight loss enthusiasts at d gym ut even health conscious people..so jus start doing any physical activity lest ur body starts blaoting from an early age itself...no excuses for u guys too :)

2.But I sometimes I don't feel lyk hitting d gym:
Yeah it happens with every1 ....so the best option is have a group of lyk minded frns and if u guys r a group it vl b more fun n u can keep urself motivated....buy ur favourite dress and hang it in ur room..seeing it day in and day out vl inspire u....Look at urself in d mirror...even a little change v inspire u to go for more..Always stay focused on ur goal even a day of slouching vl jus push it far from u...SO IT'S ALL IN U....

3.Y should I do Exercise Daily...can't I take two days off:
Yeah v can but jus that the goal that v set for ourselves...instead of being achieved in a year vl jus take 2 years...n v r d impatient selves...can v wait for so long...nah I guess...Infact there is a proposition for u..do 5-6 days of hard core workouts n d rest of the week go for light exercises...I advise u that if u r on d bulkier side jus go for 7 days a week n once u lose 10-15 kgs u can stop being so harsh on urself.

4.Don't expect miracles:
Trying to lose 15-20 kgs in 3 months is not advisable and also not good for our body...don't lose more than 1 kg per week...Our body constitution is different our body metabolism decides how much v can eat n how fast or slow our body vl lose weight.....so don't expect the same results as ur lucky friend who loses weight fast thanks to his genes...Be patience...ur commitment n hardwork  never fails u.Losing 2 kgs a month too is not a bad sign..jus think 2 kgs X 6 months n u r a whooping 12 kgs down n a size less.. :-)

5.Concentrate on toning, inch loss and fitness too,jus weight loss won't help:
Nobody likes jus to lose weight but also toning themselves up...n this is d difficult part as it includes strength training and all d hard exercises that make u hate urself for being fat n having to endure all this ;-)...
Be it ur love handles or ur flab around d tummy and thighs, double chin requires strength training and doing specific exercises...Jus do this and u vl love ur transformed self.

6.Love thyself aka be confident:
Being fat or obese doesn't have to pull ur morale down....all of us r not born so lucky that whatever we eat v remain fabulous....jus give urself d assurance that thru ur hardwork n commitment u vl look fabulous...it's all in u..it's u n only u who can stop urself from not being the way u want to b..

7.Don't go for fad diets or starve so that u binge:
Starving vl jus make u weak n so hungry that u binge n dn u feel so hungry that u binge and end up being guilty...

         STARVE -> BINGE -> GUILTY ->STARVE -> BINGE ->GUILTY

This is a vicious cycle so avoid starving...dn whats d answer...

8.Eat whatever you want but d key is portion sizes:
Who said weight loss means torture..its jus d way v perceive n all...u can eat ur fav pudding,ur naan, panner, meat, ice cream but still lose weight.Eating doesn't make u fat but infact eating d wrong quantities n at d wrong time makes u fat...So when u go out wid frns n family jus follow this
Be sure about what u want to eat...divide ur plate into 5 parts...one part fill it with fruits d other with veggies or sprouts third would b ur whole grains or brown rice fourth nuts n fifth would b ur meats or protein or ur sabzi...stick to it n u wont feel guilty while u can still lose ur weight while eating ur favourite foods.

Switch to healthy alternatives
1.Brown rice, quinoa, ragi, daliya instead of white rice
2.Try reducing ur intake of dairy products
3.Green tea or black coffee instead of the original ones
4.Sugars n soda r d real culprits stay as far away as possible..Dark chocolate(with more than 75% cocoa is very good though)...not even sugar free or diet versions please they r even more dangerous
5.Replace red meat with lean meat like chicken breast, fish or turkey....even prawns n crab contain high calories.

9.Don't lose focus and set achievable targets:
Losing 10 kgs vl b a difficult task....infact set a target as losing 2 kg..u vl definetly achieve it dn make it 2 more kg n so on until u get to ur target of 10 kg or whatever...small targets look achievable n also give u d boost to achieve it...
If u are say  Female,age:23,Height:5'6" weight:80 kg...dn ur target should b say around:55-65kg...some people can come to 55 kg while others cant lose after say 60kg...dn stop it don't set dangerous targets that vl affect ur health..Every person has a minimum and maximum body weight and u should respect it...v are all not built d same way..infact focus on ur fitness n further toning from now on :)

10.Diet is 80% and exercise is 20%:
Many people feel that bcoz they r working hard compared to their sedentary life...they can eat normally and yet lose weight..nah not at all...and I am saying it from my persona experience
If u closely observe u can see people in ur gym who tol so hard but never lose even a pound of flesh..it's bcoz of the above reason...so changing to a healthy life style means changing forever and not jus during this weight loss period in terms of both diet and food...what vl happen if u burn jus 500 calories in d gym n end up eating say 2000 calories...dn it shows no results infact u end up gaining...so don't blame d gym...blame urself..keep a watch on what u eat...this doesn't mean counting every single calorie but jus make sure that              INTAKE<1200 Calories to give u best results

I don't want to prolong d article lest u feel it boring but one last important thing....try to b on a fast or a detox day atleast once a week or two as it cleanses ur body removing all d toxins...this is not for weight loss but for a healthy you....

If health is not so important d weight loss industry in d US wouldn't have earned $60 billion in 2013 alone..showing us how important it is for people around and I am sure Indians shell out 100s of crores too.But u can lose all that flab to look fab without shelling much by jus following some simple tips...

So stay healthy, stay fit and stay fab....at the end of the day it's all about health and a happy life....ur body needs to b taken care of which only u can do...none else :)..Happy Transformation
